Brian is the Co-Founder and Head Publisher for The Hot Box. Brian founded The Hot Box with the idea to create a platform where you can get everything you need in one place. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Communications, and has since worked full time as a Digital Marketer. While working with Donald, the two have grown the platform from just a Tumblr page to an online platform.

Queens Native, Donald (aka GodPapi), developed a true passion for Hip-Hop from young, growing up in the mecca of Hip-Hop. Donald has helped The Hot Box ™ grow from just an idea to a platform where artist can showcase their work and connect with the people. He recently graduated with a degree in Communications from the University of Maryland, which provided him with the necessary tools to help create this platform, alongside Brian Murphy, where he can exercise his passion for Hip-Hop.  Donald has worked behind the scenes with various underground artist on the East Coast and he continues to expose talented artist and contribute to Hip-Hop culture via The Hot Box™.

Riley, a lifelong native of the DMV and the son of a DC musician, developed an ear for music at an early age. Upon graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park, Riley teamed with college friend Brian Murphy to help bring The Hot Box vision to life. Offering professional skills in program management, business development, and copywriting, Riley is committed to being of service to the Hip-Hop culture, as a member of the THB culture.

Terrence graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2013. As a lifelong fan of music, he developed a love for Hip Hop and R&B, which in turn led to a love for expressing how his thoughts and ideas on those two things. As a contributor to the Hot Box, you can see him doing just that, with editorials and reviews that cover the past, present and future of Hip Hop music.

Originally from Queens, NY, Maliik was raised in Landover, MD. Maliik is a senior at Morgan State University, and is a freelance journalist for multiple publications. Maliik is passionate about hip-hop, from old school to new school and wants to educate people on the history of the genre.

Jaime is a student currently, graduating from Wootton high school in 2013. During his time in high school, Jamie was the lone fashion writer.  A aspiring a&r and designer, Jaime is young, knowledgeable and has the ear for what’s dope. Creating a buzz for himself with his Soundcloud and Twitter, he showcases his expertise in the mixes and tweets, he’ll probably put you on to your new favorite artist. he will be finishing his school in New York this fall.

Mark graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with bachelors in Communications.  During his time at Maryland, Mark ran a lifestyle blog, Stature-N-Style, while interning at Hot 99.5. Before joining The Hot Box team Mark managed media relations for a VH1 reality personality. Mark showcases expertise in writing, public relations, and branding.
